Death

Mr. Walter Subrone Barbee, Sr. age 59 passed away at his home August 21, 2017. The family will receive friends and family from 6 to 8 pm Friday, August 25, 2017 at Wilkinson Funeral Home. Mr. Barbee was born April 19, 1958 in Cabarrus County, a son to the late Coburn and Martha Furr Barbee. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Goforth Barbee and a son, Steven Barbee. He was a mechanic with Cardinal Freight Carriers. Walter was loved and will be missed by his family. Survivors include his son, Walter Barbee, Jr. of Stanfield; daughter, Angela Barbee of Mooresville; eight grandchildren; a sister, Amelia Corriher of Concord and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Wilkinson Funeral Home at P.O. Box 344, Concord, NC 28026-0344 to help with expenses.
