Death

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Ruby Furr Smith, entered into rest Saturday, May 25, 2002. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at noon at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, N.C. with Rev. Charles Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening 7 to 9p.m. Survivors include one daughter, Amy S. Bridgers of Augusta; Lisa Smith, a friend loved as a daughter, of Augusta; four grandchildren, T.J. Ashlee, Azsa, and Madison all of Augusta; one brother, Ted L. Furr and his wife, Vickie of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Evelyn F. Ralston and her husband, David of Fayetteville, N.C.; 15 nieces and nephews. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by two brothers, C.V. Furr and T.R. Furr. Ms. Smith was born in Charlotte, N.C., and was a retired waitress. The family said she was a loving mother and grandmother, and a friend to all. She will truly be missed.
