Death
ALBEMARLE — Mrs. Sarah Furr Green, 54, of Rt. 2, Albemarle, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Duke Hospital, Durham. Mrs. Green was born Sept. 16, 1915, in Stanly County, daughter of Albert Furr of Albemarle and the late Ada Dry Furr. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lefler Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. W. B. King and the Rev. Walter Mingledorf. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock. In addition to her father, Mrs. Green is survived by her husband, Edward T. Green; two sons, Harold Preston Green of Rt. 2, Albemarle, and Benny Wayne Green of Norwood; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne Hurley of Rt. 2, Albemarle; seven brothers, Richmond Furr of Chester, S.C., Floyd and Ray Furr of Charlotte, Dewey and Ralph Furr of Fort Mill, S.C., Lewis, James Furr of Pineville; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Merritt and Mrs. Allen Stewart Jr. of Pineville and Mrs. William E. Whitmore of Charlotte; and three grandchildren.Endnotes
