Death
Alma Lee "Cricket" Furr, passed away Monday July 15, 2019 at the age of 90. Cricket was born August 29, 1928 in Vancleave, MS to Leo and Verta Byrd. She was a 1946 Pascagoula High School graduate. Cricket and her husband, Cecil owned and operated Furr Plumbing and Construction. They enjoyed traveling as long as health permitted. She was a longtime member of the Hickory Hills Country Club and of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded In death by her husband , Cecil Furr in 2012; stepson, John Furr; two sisters, Mary Etta Byrd and Marlene Byrd Furr and a nephew, Kerry Furr. She is survived by her sister, Lavoy Smith and her husband Bobby; 4 nieces, Karen Furr, Lesa Logan, Lori Hayes and Lynda Lesley; step-children, Mike Furr, Susan Bowman (Gary) and Julie Clark; numerous step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Graveside Service will be Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 10 am at Machpelah Cemetery.Published in The Sun Herald on July 17, 2019
