Death

CONCORD - Helen Kathleen Eudy Shue, 85, of 1570 Morrison Road, died Monday, April 2009, at Universal Health Care. The family will receive friends from 12:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jay Stewart officiating. Burial will be at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, Charlotte. Mrs. Shue was born Jan. 24, 1924, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Samuel Eudy and the late Lucille (Connell) Eudy. She retired from Cannon Mills as a winder. She was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church. Mrs. Shue was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Shue; son, Bruce Wayne Furr; and daughter, Doris Ann Cruse. Survivors include sons, Kenneth Furr and wife, Barbara Sue, of Concord, Darrell Furr and wife, Deanna, of Kannapolis, Douglas Furr and wife, Cathy, of Concord; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandparents; and one great-great-grandchild. The family meeting place will be at 6093 Village Drive, Concord. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice. Arrangements by Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord.
