SHERRILLS FORD - Doris "Dottie" Furr Cruse, 67, of 7044 Locke Drive and formerly of Concord, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at the Brian Center of Mooresville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord. The Rev. Chad Shotta will officiate. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery in Concord. The family meeting place will be at the home. Mrs. Cruse was born July 5, 1940, in Cabarrus County. She had worked as a child care teacher and was a member of First Assembly Church in Concord. She is survived by daughter, Sandy Cruse of Sherrills Ford; son, David Cruse and wife, Sandy, of Miami, Fla.; mother, Helen (Eudy) Shue of Concord; brother, Douglas Furr and wife, Cathy, of Concord; brother Kenneth Furr and wife, Sue, of Concord; brother, Darrell Furr and wife, Deanna, of Kannapolis; and grandchildren, Joanna, Jessica and Marcus.
