Death

Larry W. Furr, 72, passed away February 7, 2018. Visitation will be at 9:00 am on Monday, February 12 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133 followed by funeral services at 10:00 am. Burial will be at the Raymore Cemetery at the corner of East Lucy Web Rd and South Aspen Drive. He was preceded in death by his daughters Dixie JoEllen and Jessica Ruth White. Larry is survived by his wife Jean Furr, of the home; daughters, Kelly Jean Buckmaster of Siloam Springs, AK and Christine L Graves and husband Mark of Adrian, MO; brother, Howard Furr and wife Judy of Blue Springs, MO; sister, LaNeal Skinner of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Joan Evans and husband Bob of Edwards, MO; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and many nieces, and nephews. He served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam era, receiving his discharge in August of 1971. Larry retired from the Greater Kansas City YMCA after 20 years as their IT Director, moving to the Lake of the Ozarks where he enjoyed fishing, cooking, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He also served his community as a firefighter and president of FF14/FF17 Volunteer Fire Department.
