Death
KANNAPOLIS — Mrs Dorothy Virginia Furr, 45, of 901 Oakshade Ave died Sunday at 7 45 pm at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p. m. at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Brown Howell. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight. Born in Rowan County, she was the daughter of Mrs Loma Linker Stallings of the home and the late Daniel Edward Furr. She was employed by Cannon Mills plant No 1 in No. 7 winding room and a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Survivors other than her mother, include two daughters, Miss Mary Ellen Furr and Miss Branda Kaye Furr of the home, one brother, Guye Furr of Selma, Calif , one half-brother, Leon Edward Stallings of Kannapolis. one half-sister, Mrs Sarah Alvaline Barnett of Kannapolis.Salisbury Evening Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, January 10, 1977
