Death
Daniel Luther Furr Sr., 85, of Biscoe, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008 at his home. Graveside services were held Jan. 26 at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Ray Dawson officiating. Mr. Furr was a native of Cabarrus County. He was retired carpenter/welder and a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wives, May Belle Jordan Furr and Ruby Boggs Furr. Surviving are daughters, Carolyn Sue East of Ramseur, Joann Lucas Stevenson of Troy, Patsy Darlene Thornton of Pleasant Garden, Becky Lane Bray of Biscoe; sons, Daniel Luther Furr Jr., of Durham, David Ray Furr of Ulah; brother, Johnny Mack Furr of Charlotte, Charles Furr of Virginia; sister, Shirley Green, Brenda Furr and Berry Furr all of Charlotte; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.News & Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, January 25, 2008
