Death
Mrs. Ruth Catherine Furr Summerlin, 34, 2609 Dupont street, died in a local sanitarium Saturday night. Funeral services will be held from the home at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. B. D. Watson, pastor of Wynn Memorial, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery under direction of Rose-Neath Funeral home. Mrs. Summerlin was employed by the Libby-Owens-Ford Glass company. She was a member of the Queensborough chapter of the Eastern Star. Survivors are; Her mother; her husband, Charles H. Summerlin, one daughter, Nancy Carroll Summerlin; four brothers, Dewey Furr, Trout; Fay Furr, Phoenix, Ariz; Paul Furr, Three Rivers, Texas, and Ed Furr in service overseas. Pallbearers are: J. O. Summerlin, L. T. Summerlin, C. O. Summerlin, G. C. Thomas, A. L. Thomas, D. F Rector.The Times, Shreveport, Louisiana, December 27, 1943
