Death

LANCASTER — Charlie George Furr, 76, died in a local hospital Friday after a short illness. He was born in Stanley County, North Carolina, a son of the late Jim and Lula Holesouser Furr. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Crawford Furr: four daughters, Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Mrs. Israel Hartley and Mrs. John Hartley, all of Lancaster, and Mrs. Claude Raley of Chester, Pa.: two sons, Hazel Furr of Lancaster and Codell Furr of Chester, Pa.; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Perry of Rock Hill. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday from the Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. Jack Brazzell and the Rev. J. R. Brewer. Burial will be in Catawba Baptist Church Cemetery in York County.
