Death
ALBEMARLE — Mrs. Jessie Furr Bost, 74, of 1019 Poplar St. died at 7:10 a.m. today in the Stanly County Hospital after being in declining health for two years. The funeral will be 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Stanly Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by the Rev. W. B. King, Sr. Burial will be in Canton Baptist Church Cemetery in Stanly County. The family will be at the funeral home on Saturday night from 7 to 9 o'clock. Born May 10, 1905, in Stanly County, Mrs. Bost was a daughter of the late William and Laura Treece Furr. She was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mill Company and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Her husband J. R. Bost, died Sept. 2, 1950. Survivors include one son, Bobby Bost of Albemarle, one daughter, Mrs W. W. Hammock of Hillsborough, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.Endnotes
