Death

Mr. Joe Russell Furr, 57, of Route 14, 1100 Walton Rd. died Saturday at Mercy Hospital. Funeral is 11 a.m. Monday at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Furr was employed by McClure Lumber Co. as a driver. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a Concord native. Survivors are wife, Geneva; son, Russell Furr; daughters, Mrs. Dianne Brock of Buffalo, S.C., Mrs. Wanda Lyons, Mrs. Patricia Byrum, Miss Linda Furr; brother, Don Cunup of Arizona; seven grandchildren. Visitation is 4 to 6 tonight at Hankins & Whittington.
