Death

Anna Geneva Furr Mrs. Furr, 71, of Charlotte passed away July 2, 2005 at her residence. She was born December 30, 1933 in Georgia, the daughter of the late John Hamilton Wheeler and Agnes Elizabeth Goss Wheeler. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Anna Geneva Furr will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 4, 2005 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, July 3 at McEwen Funeral Service, Charlotte Chapel. Anna is survived by her two children, Wanda Lyons and husband William of Charlotte and Russell Furr and wife, Kathy; a stepdaughter, Patricia Carpenter and husband, Jerry of Charlotte; two bothers, Kenneth Wheeler and wife, Susan of Saluda, SC and George Wheeler and wife Geraldine of Lincolnton County, NC; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Lyons of Mooresville, NC, Michelle Powell of Crowder's Mtn., NC and Amy Furr of Charlotte; two great-grandchildren, Christina and Casey Lyons; a special friend, Gary Long of Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe Russell Furr; and two brothers, John and Cletus Wheeler. McEwen Funeral Service, Charlotte Chapel is serving the Furr family.
