Death

CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Pauline McCarver Furr, 70, of 8433 Hollow Glen Place, Apt. E, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Independent Bible Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jason Coley officiating and the Rev. Arnold McCarver assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Mrs. Furr was a member of Independent Bible Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and and the widow of Joe Russell Furr. Surviving are four daughters, Patricia Byrum and Linda Sue Furr, both of Charlotte, Diane Brock of Buffalo and Betty Christian of Fort Mill; two brothers, Boyce McCarver of Fort Mill and Mack McCarver of Hemby Bridge, N.C.; her sister, Betty Coley of Pineville, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Independent Bible Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Independent Bible Baptist Church building fund, 17025 Lancaster Highway, Charlotte, NC 28277. Fort Mill Funeral Home is in charge.
