Ronder W. Barbee GASTONIA -- Mr. Barbee, 90, of Gastonia, died November 8, 2008 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born January 5, 1918 in Albemarle, North Carolina, a son of the late Wran L. Barbee and Essie Furr Barbee. Mr. Barbee served in The United States Army during World War II. He was the owner of United Electronic Supply Co., Inc. in Charlotte before his retirement. Mr. Barbee was very active at Huntersville Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder and Deacon and also a long time member of Belmont Park United Methodist Church. A service to celebrate the life of Ronder Barbee will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. He will be remembered as a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and is survived by his wife, Marilyn Barbee; three children: Nancy Owens and husband, Eugene; Guerry Barbee and wife, Margaret all of Greenville, NC and Jim Barbee and wife, Becky of Cornelius, NC; step-daughter, Valorie Hanline and husband, Mike of Gastonia, NC and stepson, William Albritton and wife, Sue of Monroe, NC; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, W.T. Barbee and wife, Ila and A.C. Barbee and wife, Josie. Mr. Barbee was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna G. Barbee and sister, Velma Rosford.
