Death
Mrs. Essie Furr Barbee, 77, of Rt. 7, Charlotte, died today. The funeral will be at 2 p.m, tomorrow at Oak Grove Methodist Church. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park. She was born March 18, 1894 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of John Luther Furr and Dewbelle Love Furr. She is survived by her husband, W. L. Barbee; three sons, A. C. Barbee of Huntersville, R. W. Barbee and W. T. Barbee, both of Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Cavin Funeral Home, Huntersville.The Charlotte News, Charlotte, North Carolina, October 4, 1971
