Death
Quint Eugene Furr, 92, of Hollywood, FL, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at his home. He was a good father, husband, grandfather, and friend. Born September 21, 1921, in Concord, NC, he was son of the late Walter L. and Mary C. (Barnhardt) Furr. Mr. Furr served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW, Moose Club, Elks Club and Who's who in America. He loved to play poker, play golf and fly the flag. He made people smile and was always positive about life. He will be greatly missed. Quint is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Grantham; sons, Beam and Luke Furr; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 13 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 139 Manor Ave SW, Concord, NC 28025.
