OAKBORO — Minnie Mae Furr Taylor 93, of Fourth Street, East died at 7 50 am Monday, Feb 8, 1993 at Britthaven of Piedmont Nursing Center, Albemarle. The funeral will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Hartsell Funeral Home Lefler Memorial Chapel. Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. John Henry Conne!l. Burial will be at Loves Grove United Methodist Church cemetery in Stanfield. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9, and the rest of the time at the home of a daughter, Geneva Mullis of 101 E Raleigh St Stanfield. Born Sept 12, 1899, in Stanfield, Mrs Taylor was a daughter of the late Simon Hoke and Magdalene Crayton Furr. A homemaker she was a member of Loves Grove United Methodist Church. Her husband, Jonah Calvin Taylor died in 1976. Survivors include a son, JC Taylor Jr of Locust, three other daughters, Della Petrea of Locust and Novella Poplin and Doris Drye, both of Oakboro, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grand children.
