NEW LONDON -Everett Franklin Morton, 36, 35648 Hubert Road, Lot No. 3, died Saturday (Dec. 2, 2000) at Stanly Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 8, 1963, in Mooresville, Iredell County, Mr. Morton was a son of Bobby Lynn Morton, Concord, and the late Flora Mae Furr Morton. He was an auto mechanic for Muffler King, Kannapolis. Survivors, in addition to his father, include wife Karen Lanae Byrd Morton, Concord; daughter Virginia "Cooter" Morton, Concord; brothers Robert, Tommy and Michael Morton, all of Concord, Bobby Morton, Cheraw, S.C., and David Morton, Kannapolis; sister Linda Morton, Kannapolis; and paternal grandmother Myrtle Morton, Concord. Services: 4 today, Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. Burial, Norview Gardens, Inc., Norwood. Visitation: The family will be at the home on Hubert Road.Endnotes
