CLARKSDALE - Mary Teresa Furr Campassi, 79, retired saleswoman for Economy Drugs, died Sunday at Greenbough Nursing Home. Mass will be said at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, where she was a communicant, with burial in Oakridge Cemetery. National Funeral Home has charge. She was a graduate of Clarksdale High School. She leaves a daughter, Patricia Campassi Russell of Clarksdale; a son, Robert Henry Campassi Jr. of Plant City, Fla., two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Elks Camp Special in Hattiesburg.

Mary Teresa Furr Campassi, 79, of Clarksdale, died of heart failure Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, at Greenbough Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Al Camp officiating. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at National Funeral Home. Mrs. Campassi, a retired sales clerk for Economy Drugs, was born June 11, 1925, at Farrell. She was a graduate of Clarksdale High School and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Dorman Furr and Frankie Lanelle Smith Furr; a brother, Henry Dorman Furr Jr.; and a sister, Margaret Lanelle Furr. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Campassi Russell of Clarksdale; a son, Robert Henry Campassi Jr. of Plant City, Fla.; two grandchildren, Robert Bryan Weems of Brandon and April DaCasta of Plant City, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren, Robert Bryan Weems Jr., Joshua Dillon Weems and Bryanna Elizabeth Weems, all of Brandon.
