ALBEMARLE — Mildred Furr Mauldin, 74, of 1429 White Oak Ave, died Jan 16, 1989, at Stanly Memorial Hospital after being in declining health for several months. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Main Street United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Michael MacDonald and the Rev. Billy Rintz. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will be at Stanly Funeral Home on Friday night from 7 to 9. Born May 27, 1914, in Stanly County, Mrs. Mauldin was a daughter of the late Robert Nelson and Sarah Mann Furr. A retired sales person with Moose Clothing Co., she was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Her husband, Colon Lloyd Mauldin, died Oct 16, 1986. Survivors include a son, Richard Nelson Mauldin of Lumberton, a daughter, Mrs. John C. (Suzanne) Griffith of Albemarle; a brother, Robert M. Furr of Dunn; three sisters, Emma Smith, Cora Gantt and Ruby Morgan, all of Albemarle; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
