Death

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Canton church for Mrs. Louise Furr, wife of G. C. Furr, who died early Thursday morning at her home on route three after an illness of a month. Rev. F. A. Bower was in charge of the final rites, and he was assisted by Rev. Billie Almond. Mrs. Furr was 61 years of age and was one of the best loved women in her community. She was a member of Canton Baptist church, and took an active part in church work. She is survived by her husband, G. C. Furr; her father, Alfred Morton, two children, Oscar Furr and Mrs. Ed Burleson, and one sister, Mrs. Philmore Whitley of New London.
