Death
Mrs. Dallie Idabelle Almond Furr, 80, of Route 1, Stanfield, died around noon Wednesday in the Stanly County Hospital following three years of declining health. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church, conducted by Rev. L. F. Cowan. Interment will be in. the church cemetery. The body was taken Thursday at 2 p.m. from Hartsell Funeral Home to the home to remain until taken to the church for the rites. Active pallbearers will be Grover Whitley, Sanford Helms, John Clark, Grover Furr, Bill Yarbrough and Joe Purser. Born November 4, 1886 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emma I. Whitley Almond. Her husband, A. C. Furr, preceded her in death/ Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. E. T. Smith of Charlotte and Mrs. Nettie F. Whitley of Route 1, Stanfield; one son, Adam R. of Route 1, Stanfield; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, June 30, 1967
