Death
William J. Holder, 74, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at home. Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Martin United Methodist Church, 2621 Bedford Road, Bedford, Texas 76021, or American Cancer Society, Box 9652, Fort Worth, Texas 76147. Bill was born in Jackson, Miss., in 1927. He started with Delta at the age of 17 and retired with over 47 years of service in December 1992. He was a member of Martin United Methodist Church in Bedford. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Lela Furr Holder, and a brother, Charles Holder. Survivors: Wife of 46 years, Joy Jenkins Holder; children, Stan Holder and wife, Brenda, Jan Munro and husband, Scott, and Nancy Johnson and husband, Andy, from a previous marriage; brothers, Andy Holder, David Holder, Richard Holder and Frank Holder; sister, Barbara Holder; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.Published by Star-Telegram on Sep. 19, 2002
