Death
Corp. Frank W. Furr, only son of Mrs. Ben W. Furr, of Rt. 3, Florence, died October 8, in England as a result of injuries incurred in a jeep accident, his mother has been notified. The 27-year-old soldier had been in England since March, 1944. He received his basic training at Keesler Field and was sent overseas from there, serving as an MP. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Melvin, Mrs. Bennie Lou Rhodes, Mrs. Grace Hauck, and Miss Julia Furr, all of Jackson.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, November 15, 1944
