Death
Crystal Springs, April 3 — Funeral services were held recently in Brookhaven for Mrs. Docia Furr Browning, who died after a short illness. She was 77 years of age. Rites were conducted by Rev. Joe Odle, her former pastor, and intement was made in the Rose Hill cemetery. Mrs. Browning was born and reared in Brookhaven and came to Crystal Springs 25 years ago. She was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by her husband, T. J. Browning; two daughters, Mrs. E. E. Miers, Crystal Springs and Mrs. W. L. Barksdale, Brookhaven; one son, Louis Furr, Hattiesburg and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sidney Bailey, P. K. Grice, Louis Mills, George Smith, A. J. Furlow and D. F. Gates, Jr.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, April 4, 1947
