Notes
Death
Funeral services for Mrs. W. H. Furr, 80, were held Tuesday afternoon from the chapel of the Smith Funeral Home with Rev. John Frazier, pastor of the Ingram Baptist Church officiating, and interment was in the family plot in the Hunt Cemetery. A native of Travis County, she was the former Nancy Cantwell and spent most of her life in the Hunt community, the home place being on the North Fork of the Gundulupe River. Several years ago they moved to the present home, which is between Kerrville and Ingram. The late Mr. Furr served as the County Commision for Precinct Four for many years. Mrs. Furr, who had been ill for some time, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Merritt. She is survived by four children, Calvin Furr and Mrs. Lloyd Merritt of Hunts, Mrs. Pearl Brooks of Ingram and Mrs. George Cantroll of San Angelo; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and one greaat-great-grandchild.Endnotes
