Death
A Las Vegas, Nev., man, who returned here to attend funeral services for his mother, died Sunday following an apparent heart attack. Albert Furr, 60, died three days after the death of his mother. Furr, who died in a Tulsa hospital, had worked for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas as a box man, one who is in charge of casino money, for three years. He was a veteran of World War II. His only survivor is one daughter Vicki Furr of Las Vegas. Services are pending with Moore’s Eastlawn Funeral Home. His mother, Mrs. Vera E. “Emma” Furr, was formerly of Tulsa. She lived with her son in Las Vegas for five years. Mrs. Furr worked for Froug’s of Tulsa for 40 years. While living in Las Vegas, she was a member of the Grandparents of Las Vegas, an organization that helped children in trouble. Mrs. Furr is survived by three grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Moore’s Eastlawn Funeral Home.Tulsa World, Tulsa, Oklahoma, February 7, 1983
