Mrs. Lexie Daughtry Teeter, age 92 of 3309 Dexter St. passed away October 27, 1972 in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 28, 1879 in Hickory, N.C, daughter of the late William A. and Susan Seagraves Daughtry. Mrs. Teeter had lived in Charlotte all her life. She was a member of Clanton Memorial Presbyterian Church and an active member of Circle No. 3. Funeral services, 2:30 P.M. Monday, Oct. 30 at the Clanton Memorial Presbyterian Church, conducted by Dr. A. Leslie Thompson, minister of the church with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. She is survived by a daughter; Mrs. T. W. Bostian of Charlotte with whom Mrs. Teeter made her home; one son, James L. Teeter of Virginia Beach, Va; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Mr. Charles H. Daughtry. Active pallbearers will be Haywood Linder, Henry Culp, Claude E. Smith, W. W. Simmons, Shelby Bullard and Norman Furr. Friends may send memorials to the Clanton Memorial Presbyterian Church, 335 Freeland Lane, Charlotte, N.C, 28210.
