Notes
Death
On Friday last the four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chalmers Furr, who live near Edmiston, was burned to death. From a reliable source we learn that while the parents were out doors the child is supposed to have played in the fire, her clothing having thus been ignited. Her screams brought the parents at once, who were badly burned in the attempt to extinguish the flames. The Concord Times, Concord, North Carolina, February 28, 1890
