Death

Claude E. Furr, Sr., age 77, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Monday, June 09, 2014. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at New Palestine Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Braddy officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home. Mr. Furr was a Veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard, a lifetime resident of Pearl River County and a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Claude Furr, Jr. and his wife Hope Furr of Bay St. Louis; brother, Wayne Furr of Picayune; sisters, Annette Fleming of Picayune, Margaret Smith of Picayune, and Faye Stockstill Picayune; and two grandchildren, Kolby Furr and Shelby Furr. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest Furr and Mary Pearl Smith; and wife, Patricia Marlow Furr.
