Death
Mrs. Mary Pearl Smith Furr, 77, of Picayune, died Monday, May 4, 1992, in Picayune. Mrs. Furr was a native of Picayune. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star and a member of New Palestine Baptist Church in Picayune. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest B. Furr. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Annette Furr Fleming, Margaret Furr Smith and Mrs. Faye Furr Landrum, all of Picayune; two sons, Claude Furr and Wayne Furr, both of Picayune; a sister, Mrs. Miriam Allen of Zapata, Texas; two brothers, Houston Smith of Zapata, Texas, and William Nathan Smith of Picayune; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be today at 2 p.m. in the New Palestine Baptist Church in Picayune, where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery in Picayune.
