Death

RICHFIELD - Mr. Robert Earnhardt, 82, of Richfield, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014. Mr. Earnhardt was born March 20, 1932, son of the late Fred Earnhardt and Cleo Earnhardt. He attended Rockwell High School and was the owner of Richfield Used Truck Parts, where he was a mechanic. He was a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Earnhardt, and his sister, Mildred Stout. Robert is survived by his wife, Johnnie Hoffner Earnhardt; son Tim Earnhardt and wife Trica Earnhardt of Richfield; daughter Johnna Chandler and husband Hop Chandler of New London; grandchildren Johnathan, Nick, Logan and Caroline Chandler; brother Charlie Earnhardt; sister Ann Maness and husband Arnold of Concord. Service: There will be a graveside service on Friday, Nov. 21 at 12 p.m at the US National Cemetery in Salisbury with military graveside rites conducted by the Rowan County Honor Guard and the National Guard. Visitation: The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 20 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Powles Funeral Home is assisting the Earnhardt family.
