Death

SALISBURY - Mr. Frank Columbus Earnhardt, 82, of Salisbury, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Frank was born Dec. 3, 1930, in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Fred L. Earnhardt and Cleo Furr Earnhardt. Frank was educated in Rockwell schools, was a member of First Baptist Church of Gold Hill and had retired from Cannon Mills Swink Plant. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Vanhoy Earnhardt, and his sister, Mildred Stout. Survivors include brothers Charles Earnhardt of Salisbury and Robert C. Earnhardt and wife Johnnie Ruth of Richfield; sister Annie Maness and husband David of Concord. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6 at Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell. Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6 at Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell, conducted by Rev. Ron Lee, pastor of Immanuel Presbyterian Church, China Grove. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the Earnhardt family.
