Johnnie Ruth Hoffner Earnhardt, 83, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday September 23, 2018 at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle. She was born on March 8, 1935 in Salisbury, NC to the late Lee Hoffner and Lena Owens Hoffner. Johnnie worked as a Cafeteria Worker in Richfield until her retirement. She was a Christian woman and enjoyed baking, cooking, word search puzzles, and taking care of her cats. She loved to spend time with friends and family. In addition to her parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Earnhardt; and brothers and sisters, Velna Carrick, Jessie Burrage, Arlene Morgan, Blanch Gobble, Curtis "Bud" Hoffner, Annie Lee Hall, Mary Jane Ward, and Barbara Jean Brown.Endnotes
