Death
Funeral services for Hettie Rea Meadows Allbritton, 78, of Clinton, Miss., were at 3 p.m. today in Midway Baptist Church, Jackson, Miss., with the Rev. David Wilkerson officiating. Burial was in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Jackson, Miss., under direction of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson, Miss. Local arrangements were by Sullivan Funeral Home. Mrs. Allbritton died at 11:53 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 1987, in Marshall Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 16, 1909, in Mize, Miss., a daughter, of E.M. and Ann Ware Meadows. She married William Marvin Allbritton and was associated with him in the construction business. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Jackson, Miss. and Order of the Easter Star in Jackson, Miss. She was a Sunday school teacher, active in P.T.A. and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 27, 1974. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth W. Allbritton of Jackson, Miss. and G. Doug Allbritton of Memphis, Tenn.; three daughters, Eloise Furr of Jackson, Miss., Sylvia A. Gore of Victoria and Deane Thomas of Marshall; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, John Meadows of Magee, Miss.; two sisters, LaVonne Myers and Annie Mae Birkhead, both of Louisville, Ky.; and a number if nieces and nephews.The Marshall News Messenger, Marshall, Texas, 19 Aug 1987
