Death
William M. Allbritton, 65, a retired building contractor and builder of the Midway Baptist Church, and resident of the Old Vicksburg Road, died early Saturday night at the VA Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday from the Midway Baptist Church. Interment: Lakewood Memorial Park, with Masonic Rites at the graveside. Survivors: his wife the former Hattie Rea Meadows; two sons, Ken Allbritton of Clinton, Doug Allbritton of Memphis, Tenn.; three daughters, Mrs. James D. (Eloise) Furr of Clinton; Mrs. Dan (Sylvia) Gore of Jackson; Mrs. Nelson (Deane) Thomas of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; one brother, H.P. Allbritton of Bastrop, La.; and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Miller of Monroe, La. A native of Braxton, he had been a resident of Jackson since 1946. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church where he had taught Sunday School. He was a member of Mt. Salus Masonic Lodge 595.
