Death
Benjamin Guy Cobb, 71, of Rt. 1, Gibsonville, died Monday at Greensboro Hospital. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Dan Summers and the Rev. George Shuford officiating. Burial will be at the church. He was a retired building contractor and native of Guilford County. Surviving are widow, Mrs. Mae Sutton Cobb; son, Benny Sutton Cobb of the home; daughter, Mrs. Bette Furr of Reidsville; brother, Numa W. Cobb of Rt. 1, Gibsonville; sisters, Mrs. Ora Kaiser of Greensboro, Mrs. Vera Stead and Mrs. Gladie Sockwell of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. The family will be at Bartlett Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today.The Greensboro Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, September 20, 1977
