Death

Pontotoc - Lloyd Elford Jones, 82, died Thursday afternoon at the Pontotoc Community Hospital. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Longview Baptist Church. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at the Longview Baptist Church with the Rev. Watkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Baldwyn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Smith and Mrs. Elizabeth Jaggers, both of Pontotoc, and Mrs. Joyce Sappington of Starkville; two sons, Leroy Jones of Pontotoc and Lloyd Jones, Jr. of Southaven; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Wilder of Tupelo and Mrs. Gertrude Harrington of Clarksdale; a brother, Maurice Jones of Grenada; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
