Death
CHARLOTTE - Betty Bowers Quick, 81, of Charlotte, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. She was born in Alamance County and was the daughter of the late Willie C. Bowers and Trully Estelle Furr Bowers. Betty was loved and admired by her family and friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to read daily devotionals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Walter Quick, Jr., and son, Garland Jefferson Quick. Surviving are her children Kathy Quick Philemon (David); son, Walter Keith Quick (Donna), sister, Barbara Robertson; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 22, 2015, in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Service with Reverend Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:45 pm.
