Death
Walter (Bobby) H. Furr, 61, of Woodbridge, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 1991, at the home of his beloved friend, Brenda J. Lohr. He is also survived by one daughter, Karen Crocker of Colts Neck, N.J.; two sons, Douglas Furr of Stafford and Eric. Furr of Woodbridge; his parents, Martha and Lewis Furr of Oaksboro, N.C.; two grandchildren; one sister, Willene Furr of Oaksboro and two brothers, Gerald and John Furr Jr., both of Oaksboro. He was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Dale City and was retired from the U.S. Army as a lieutenant, serving in the Korean Conflict, and was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. His total service included 43 years with the Department of the Army. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Mountcastle Funeral Home, Woodbridge, where services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. by the Rev. Billy Shepard, with burial to follow in Quantico National Cemetery with military honors. Friends also will be received at the Lohr residence prior to services at 13400 Baxter St., Woodbridge.
