Death
Dorothy Furr, 90, of Hattiesburg, died February 16, 2015, at her home. Visitation will be Friday, February 20, 2015, at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, from 9:30 a.m. until the service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Furr was an active member of Main Street Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and a GA leader and was a member of the Berean Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Morning Garden Club where she served as President. Mrs. Furr was preceded in death by her husband, I.L. Furr, Jr.; son, Ike Furr, III; and daughter, Rita Rebecca Furr. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Furr (Patty) of Hattiesburg and Michael Furr (Debbie) of Parsons, TN; one daughter, Janet White (John) of Hattiesburg; and grandchildren, John Moyers White of Nashville, TN, Whitney White Fletcher (Stephen) and Nikki Furr both of Hattiesburg.Published in the Hattiesburg American on Feb. 19, 2015
