Death
LANDIS - Mabel Lou Morrison Fink, 89, formerly of 208 N. Meriah St., died Thursday, December 13, 2007, at Universal Healthcare in Concord after six months of declining health. Born April 23, 1918, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Fink was a daughter of the late J.T. Morrison and Minnie Furr Morrison. She was employed with Cannon Mills Co. Plant 1 Pillow Case Department for many years until her retirement in 1972. A member of South China Grove Baptist Church in China Grove, Mrs. Fink was active in the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, Senior Citizens and various other phases of church activities. She also volunteered at the Community Center in China Grove for a period of time. Her husband, Roy Monroe Fink, preceded her in death on August 26, 1971. Survivors include son John M. Fink and wife Beulah of Landis; grandchildren Aaron Lane Fink of China Grove and Penny Purser and Grady Long of Kannapolis; and three great-grandchildren. Service: 2 p.m. Monday at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel in Kannapolis with the Rev. Derald Adams, the Rev. Ron Bushy, Pansy Trivette and the Rev. Shane Utley officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Visitation: 12:30-2 p.m. Monday at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel. Memorials: South China Grove Baptist Church, P.O.
