Death
BROOKHAVEN, April 21—Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie E. Crawford, 73, one of Brookhaven's best beloved citizens, were held at the family residence on North Church street yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Crawford died at her home after a number of years of ill health. Mrs. Crawford, before her marriage, Miss Fannie Furr, was a member of one of the county's oldest and most distinguished families. She was a consecrated member of the Baptist church, a loyal Christian character, and devoted mother and grandmother. She was the widow of the late Thomas C. Crawford who was before his death prominent in public affairs. She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, Messrs. W. F. and Tom Crawford of this city, five daughters, Mrs. Frank H. Hartmen of Brookhaven, Mrs. E. M. Brinkman of Berkley, Calif.; Mrs. R. C. Pepper of Gulfport, Miss.; Mrs. Victor Fegley of New Orleans, Miss Edna Crawford of Paducah, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Emma Knapp of Wesson; and several grandchildren. Interment will take place Rosehill cemetery.Endnotes
