Death
Leonard Furr Bailey was born April 14, 1931 in Sherman, Texas, to Charles V. Bailey and Anna Nora Furr Bailey. He passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Leonard Manor in Leonard, Texas. He married Aurline Rougeou, Aug. 27, 1960 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Lecompte, LA. In May of 1961, he received his BS degree in Dairy Science from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. While at OSU, he served on the Dairy Judging Team. Mr. Bailey joined the US Air Force and served four years in England as a radio operator. He was discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a retired dairy farmer and rancher who lived in and loved the Mulberry Community. Mr. Bailey is survived by His wife of 46 years, Aurline Bailey Daughters: Valerie Easley and husband, John Norris of Mulberry Lynn Ann Edwards and husband, Mark, of Cape Coral, FL Son: Justin Bailey and wife, Connie of Natchitoches, LA Brother: Charles Bailey of Savoy Grandchildren: Connor and Bailey Pollack of Cape Coral, FL Pallbearers will be Mark Edwards, James Rougeou, Benjamin Rougeau, Caliste Rougeou, Tommy Eskue and J. C. McRae. Graveside services with military honors for Leonard Furr Bailey, age 75, of Mulberry, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 8, 2006 in Mulberry Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday night. At other times, the family will be at the home of Tommy & Sally Eskue, 2114 Pecan St., Bonham, TX.
