Death
KANNAPOLIS -- Ruby Lee Withers Poole, 77, formerly of Kannapolis, died Sunday (Jan. 18, 2004) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord, after a two-week illness. Born May 7, 1926, in Stanly County, Mrs. Poole was a daughter of the late Z.E. and Effie Furr Withers. She retired after 30 years with Service Distributing Inc. Survivors include daughters Janice P. Jenkins, China Grove, and Jeanette P. Reeves, York, S.C.; brother Lee Roy Withers, Montgomery, Ala.; and three grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Whitley's Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Allen Reid. Burial, Loves Grove United Methodist Church cemetery, Stanly County. Visitation: 6-8 tonight at the funeral home and at other times at the home of daughter Janice Jenkins, 455 Cannon Farm Road, China Grove.Endnotes
