Death
Private First Class Harry Allen Kelly was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service, PFC Kelly served our country until July 15th, 1967 in Phuoc Long, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was married. It was reported that Harry died from multiple fragmentation wounds. His body was recovered. Harry was born on December 7th, 1945 in Huntersville, North Carolina. PFC Kelly is on panel 23E, line 076 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year. He served as a Private First Class with 919th Engineer Company, 11th Armored Cavalry, USARV. He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal.Endnotes
