Death
Martha Kelly Hager, 83, of Davidson, NC, entered into eternal rest on March 21, 2024. She was born on May 6, 1940, to the late Leslie Martin Kelly and Mary Gordon Furr Kelly of Cornelius, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ronald (Ron) Hager, son Russell (Rusty) Hager and brother Harry A Kelly. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Ronda Hager Vannoy (Cameron), son Rodney Hager (Nicole), daughter-in-law Tami Humble Hager, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Mary Agnes Lowder, Sarah Little (Junior), Jenny Dowdy and brother Colin Kelly (Myra) and numerous nieces and nephews that she adored. Martha graduated from North Mecklenburg HS in 1958 and was a life time member of Bethel Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, deacon, elder and Women of the Church. She worked the majority of her career at Bell South in Charlotte, but retired from The McIntosh Law Firm in Davidson. Martha was a Mary Kay consultant and built quite a customer base over the many years she was active in the business. She loved to play bridge and was active socially with the Cornelius Jaycees and the Lake Norman Shag Club and all the many friends she and Ron made over the years living in the North Mecklenburg area. Memorial service will be held at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cornelius on March 26, 2024 @ 3pm immediately followed by a reception in The Family Life Center.
