Death

Dianna Edmonson Furr passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Dianna and her family relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina where she attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools, graduating from Garinger High School in 1966. The following year, Dianna married her loving husband of 56 years, Johnny "Mack" Furr. She had a successful accounting career and actively participated in her sons' lives as they grew up playing sports at Plaza, Cochrane, and West Charlotte, where she was a second mother to many. Dianna enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was known for her love of animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Edmonson, as well as her sister, Cindy Edmonson. Dianna is survived by her devoted husband Mack Furr; her eldest son, John Furr, daughter-in-law, Heidi Furr, grandson, Nicholas Furr; youngest son, Scott Furr, daughter-in-law, Dana Furr, and bonus grandchildren Taylor Gravely and Carson Gravely. Dianna adored her grandson and bonus grandchildren, spoiling them often. A graveside service for Dianna will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd., Mint Hill, NC 28227.
